A commission begins with a meeting of minds. By collaborating closely with our patrons, we refine the structural foundations of each piece to ensure the aesthetic intent is perfectly realized within the architecture of the garment. Our goal is to craft a piece that exists in harmony with the body—a precise technical construction that serves as both a mirror of the individual and a sculptural enhancement of her form.
Consultation
The first step in beginning a commission is scheduling a private meeting. Our patrons have the options of selecting styles from our archive or developing a new pieces. Illustrations, archival fabrics, materials and decor are available in aiding discussion of design and function. Once a direction is achieved, a sample is made.
Creation
Toiles and private fittings bring the pieces into reality. It’s then that the garment is sculpted, refining the internal architecture to ensure it's flawless transition from the atelier to the individual.
